Please, take a brief trip down memory lane with me, back to the NBA Finals and back to the Cleveland Cavaliers' practice the day before that Game 7 that would change everything. LeBron James, known reader of the Internet, walked into Oracle Arena sporting a hat that featured the infamous "Kermit sipping tea" meme, knowing that the cameras would capture it and that it would send a message to unanimous MVP Stephen Curry that he was about to blow a 3-1 series lead. It was a very good hat.
Fast forward to the summer, the glorious summer after LeBron James brought the Cavs their first championship in over 50 years, and LeBron has purchased an even better hat. It's the same frog, only this time, he's draped in a Cavs jersey, wearing a crown and sipping on the Larry O'Brien trophy. That's like throwing down the gauntlet and winning the duel in a single stroke.
Kudos, Bron. And please Fed Ex me that hat ASAP.
