Bud Light's got a clever little spot ahead of the NFL's opening weekend as it promotes its team-themed cans (I'm drinking a Browns one right now, and it's well done and delicious, I won't lie to you), and it features one pretty random cameo.
As Michael K. Williams, best known for his exquisite performance as Omar on HBO's "The Wire," lends his voice to the commercial's narration, former Browns quarterback Tim Couch appears, clad in a Browns t-shirt and looking like he could curl a 100-pound dumbbell.
"Can your can finally get a quarterback?" Williams asks as Couch, who is signing a football at some sort of used car dealership (an all too real picture of what Couch is probably doing on the weekends) appears hurt and says "Hey!"
It's been a long time since I've thought about Tim Couch, whose failed tenure as the Browns first quarterback of the expansion era has remained the team's primary symbol of failure, but at least he's gotten his body right away from the field. His biceps are now bigger than my head.
Thus concludes your 2016 Tim Couch update. Thank you for joining us.
